Job summary

Troon seeks a Greenskeeper to join our golf course maintenance team in Suffern, NY, handling landscaping and course upkeep. Responsibilities include mowing greens and fairways, watering and irrigation, soil prep, sod seeding, hedges, and applying pesticides and fertilizer.

Seasonal, part-time and full-time opportunities are available. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, organization and dependable work ethic to maintain high standards on the course.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding and fertilizing for restoration and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads where needed.
• Repairs irrigation systems, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
Compensation: $15.50 / hour
