Job summary

La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Greenskeeper I to contribute to a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property within the Troon family. This entry-level role offers training and growth opportunities in landscape and course maintenance on a premier golf facility.

Responsibilities include general landscape upkeep, bunker maintenance, equipment operation, and assisting with course setup. A valid driver’s license is required; healthcare and retirement benefits are available to

• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
• Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Involved with course detail tasks (weed and debris clean up).
• Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
• Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
• Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning and plugging).
• Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities of the Greenskeeper:

• Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment.
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
• Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
