Job summary

Waialae Country Club, a private member club in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a Greenskeeper for golf course maintenance to uphold turf quality and bunkers with initiative and teamwork.

The role is full-time (30+ hours weekly), with early hours from 4:30am to 12:30pm including weekends and holidays. Prior golf course maintenance experience is preferred, contributing to a high-standard grounds team.

Qualifications

• Must safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
• Able to work outdoors, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Prior golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be available to work from 4:30am - 12:30pm including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.
• Levels, rakes, weeds and maintains bunker floors, faces, and edges.
• Trims sprinkler heads, tree bases, edges of ditches, boundaries, and fence lines.
• Mows curb strips and trims hedges.
• Fills irregularities in turf; and hand weeds greens.
• Applies fertilizer and pesticide to grass, plants and trees.
• Assists with golf course aeration.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.
• Levels, rakes, weeds and maintains bunker floors, faces, and edges.
