Job summary

Waialae Country Club, a private golf and recreation destination in Hawaii, is hiring a Greenskeeper for golf course maintenance. The role is full-time (30+ hours weekly) in the Grounds department, reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.

The position requires early morning shifts from 4:30am to 12:30pm, outdoor work, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior golf course maintenance experience is preferred, with benefits including insurance and golf

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate landscaping tools, machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Prior golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be available to work from 4:30am - 12:30pm including on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.
• Levels, rakes, weeds and maintains bunker floors, faces, and edges.
• Trims sprinkler heads, tree bases, edges of ditches, boundaries, and fence lines.
• Mows curb strips and trims hedges.
• Fills irregularities in turf; and hand weeds greens.
• Applies fertilizer and pesticide to grass, plants and trees.
• Assists with golf course aeration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.

Starting Pay Rate:

$20.00 per hour
