Job summary

A prestigious private membership club in East Honolulu is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Worker to maintain turf and bunkers, operate landscaping equipment, and ensure the beauty of the golf course. Candidates should be able to work independently and in a team, lift up to 50 pounds, and be available for weekends. The position offers health insurance, paid time off, and golfing privileges. Starting pay is $18 per hour.

Job description

Waialae Country Club is a private membership club that offers a championship golf course, dining services, health/recreational facilities and hosts the PGA Tour's Sony Open in Hawaii. It is recognized as a Platinum Club of America, Honorable Mention Platinum, and Distinguished Club with ELITE status by BoardRoom Magazine.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.
• Levels, rakes, weeds and maintains bunker floors, faces, and edges.
• Trims sprinkler heads, tree bases, edges of ditches, boundaries, and fence lines.
• Mows curb strips and trims hedges.
• Fills irregularities in turf and hand weeds greens.
• Applies fertilizer and pesticide to grass, plants and trees.
• Assists with golf course aeration.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate landscaping tools, machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors and stand, walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Prior golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
