Job summary

Waialae Country Club is seeking a Greenskeeper to maintain the golf course and related grounds. The role is full-time (30+ hours per week) in the Grounds department, reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent, with duties from turf maintenance to aeration support.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour and work hours include early mornings, weekends and holidays. Benefits listed include health and life insurances, paid holidays, PTO, holiday bonus, parking, meals and golfing

Qualifications

• Must safely operate landscaping tools, machinery and equipment.
• Able to work outdoors, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in a team or independently.
• Golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Available 4:30am–12:30pm, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course turf and bunkers.
• Level, rake, weed and maintain bunker floors, faces and edges.
• Trim sprinkler heads, tree bases, edges of ditches, boundaries and fence lines.
• Mow curb strips and trim hedges.
• Fill irregularities in turf and hand weed greens.
• Apply fertilizer and pesticide to grass, plants and trees.
• Assist with golf course aeration.

Position: Greenskeeper (Golf Course Maintenance)

Status: Full-Time (30+ hours per week)

Department: Grounds

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent/Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains golf course turf and bunkers.
• Levels, rakes, weeds and maintains bunker floors, faces, and edges.
• Trims sprinkler heads, tree bases, edges of ditches, boundaries, and fence lines.
• Mows curb strips and trims hedges.
• Fills irregularities in turf; and hand weeds greens.
• Applies fertilizer and pesticide to grass, plants and trees.
• Assists with golf course aeration.
