Job summary

The University of Alabama Golf Facility in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a full-time Greenskeeper to maintain the property, perform landscape tasks, rake bunkers, and operate small machinery. Some golf maintenance experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates will be considered.

Position is primarily Monday through Friday with some weekend work. Pay is $15.00 per hour; healthcare, retirement, PTO, and other compensation are included.

Qualifications

• One-month related experience or training.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment.
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
• Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
• Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
• Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
• Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
• Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.

The University of Alabama Golf Facility, located in Tuscaloosa, AL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$15.00 per hour

Summary:

Maintain the property through construction and afterwards. Some golf maintenance experience is preferred, but the proper candidate will be considered. No experience necessary, but landscape or golf course experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities of the Greenskeeper:

• Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.

Extra Information:

Crimson Reserve is the home of the University of Alabama Golf Teams. It is a 9 hole practice facility with a large driving range. Position is primarily Monday through Friday with some work on weekends. Pay is dependent on experience. Experience is appreciated, but not necessary.
