Job summary

Currahee Club, a Troon-managed property in Toccoa, GA, seeks a Full-Time Greenskeeper to maintain the golf course and assist with construction tasks. The role involves operating equipment, preparing soil beds, and daily course detailing to ensure high-quality play conditions.

Valid driver's license is required, and safety and attendance are emphasized. Candidates should have limited formal education or limited experience; more experienced hires may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance using hand-held equipment.

• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed, and vegetative material.
• Perform tasks related to course detailing including weed and debris cleanup.
• Assist with golf course setup procedures.
• Operate utility vehicles for hauling materials and removing debris.
• Perform skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Currahee Club located in Toccoa, Georgia is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose

Performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. Performs semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work and related tasks as required.

Essential Duties

• Perform general landscape maintenance using hand-held equipment.
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers.
• Operate small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing.
• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed, and vegetative material.
• Perform tasks related to course detailing including weed and debris cleanup.
• Assist with golf course setup procedures.
• Operate utility vehicles for hauling materials and removing debris.
• Perform skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
• Operate equipment safely and remain aware of associates and their respective work areas.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience

• Less than a high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stands, walks, sits, and uses hands; reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches.
• Regularly talks or hears.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds; up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Environment/Noise

• Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in high, precarious places and in areas with fumes or airborne particles.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally works in extreme heat (non-weather) and experiences vibration.
• Noise level is loud.

Certificates/Licenses

Valid driver's license.
