Job summary

Deerfield Golf Club is seeking a seasonal part-time Greenskeeper in Newark, DE. Join Troon, a global leader in golf and community management, to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced hospitality-focused property.

This seasonal role has an estimated duration of six months or less, with compensation of $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, BOE. You will maintain grounds, assist with irrigation, and support overall course maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a seasonal part-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 BOE
