Job summary

Cobb Animal Clinic in Greensboro, NC is hiring full-time Veterinary Technician, RVT, or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join a growing team. The role includes hospital care, exams, diagnostics, and client communication in a busy clinic.

Starting compensation is $14-19/hour with potential for RVT-advantaged pay and relocation support for select candidates. We value growth, certification, and a collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic.
• Strong nursing, patient care, and animal restraint skills.
• Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics.
• Ability to support veterinarians during exams and procedures.
• Excellent client communication and veterinary customer service.
• Surgery and anesthesia monitoring experience preferred.
• RVT credential strongly preferred.
• Experienced assistants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized and outpatient patients.
• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Perform animal handling and restraint for exams and treatments.
• Conduct venipuncture, blood collection, and lab processing.
• Assist with radiology, anesthesia monitoring, and post-op care.
• Prepare patients and rooms for appointments.
• Support surgery and patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Communicate with clients about appointments and plans.
• Assist with inventory, sanitation, and daily operations.
