Job summary

Glass House Brands Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician in Camarillo, CA to support design, installation and maintenance of advanced greenhouse and irrigation systems. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure systems meet environmental, safety and quality standards while driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Agriculture or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in horticulture; cannabis experience is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of plant production and documenting SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and engineering of greenhouse and irrigation systems to meet requirements.
• Provide technical assistance for proposals, timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope and regulatory compliance.
• Perform feasibility studies and provide engineering solutions for challenges.
• Oversee installation and startup of greenhouse structures and irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade equipment for uptime and efficiency.
• Support commissioning, testing and operating readiness of equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs for irrigation and related systems.
• Ensure safety, quality control and environmental standards in all activities.
• Advocate sustainable design focusing on water conservation and energy efficiency.
• Explore new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and clients for procurement and status updates.
