Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Safety Specialist to support our advanced greenhouse facilities in Johnston, Iowa. The role focuses on training, inspections, industrial hygiene, and chemical inventory, collaborating with CE leadership and the Vylor safety team to maintain the management system.

You will spearhead safety audits, manage training programs, and drive a culture of safety across all personnel and contractors, ensuring compliance and safe operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with safety programs and industrial hygiene.
• Ability to train personnel and lead safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards proactively and support modernization projects.
• Implement and maintain safety standards and quality policies for the facility.
• Lead safety audits and drills and manage safety permits.
• Develop safety topics for large groups and train personnel on certifications (forklift, etc.).
• Promote a strong safety culture and serve as the go-to for safety and quality questions.
