Job summary

Teens Grow Greens in Milwaukee is seeking a Greenhouse Manager to oversee plant production, inventory, and community events while ensuring the garden center remains clean and welcoming. The role requires horticulture and retail management experience, plus strong customer service and administrative skills.

You will coach apprentices, manage events, and collaborate with the Greenhouse Director on daily operations, stock, and signage. Flexibility for weekend work and physical duties is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture within a retail setting (3–5 years).
• Minimum 3–5 years of management experience.
• Associate degree or similar in horticulture required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and facilitate community events (5%).
• Manage plant production, care, and seasonal stock.
• Maintain clean, safe garden center and organize inventory.
• Oversee customer service, cashier procedures, and POS usage.
• Coach and train apprentices in horticulture and customer service.
• Coordinate daily tasks and order fulfillment with the Greenhouse Director.
• Record planting, seeding, transplanting, spraying, and fertilizing activities.
• Oversee staff meetings and continuous horticulture training.
