Job summary

Backyard Farms in Madison, ME seeks a salaried supervisor to manage greenhouse operations, lead a 30+ person team, and ensure timely production.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required (2+ years).
• Strong MS Office and internet navigation skills.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure greenhouse work is completed in a timely and productive manner.
• Train and keep workers motivated.
• Spending one on one time with employees to ensure greenhouse standards are met.
• Available to supervise yearly activities such as clean-out and planting of new crop.
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities with other departments under the guidance of the Labor Manager.
• Resolve work-related issues using company procedures including progressive disciplinary process.
• Prepare and submit quality reports to the Labor Manager.
• Be familiar with and enforce Health and Food Safety guidelines within the greenhouse.
