Job summary

Green Circle Growers in Oberlin, OH is seeking a Grower Helper to support daily greenhouse operations under the Growing team. You will assist in crop care, environmental monitoring, irrigation, pest control, and other essential tasks to promote healthy plant production.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Growing team, organizing pots and trays, moving tables, operating electric carts, applying fertilizer as directed, and keeping work areas clean.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; relevant experience accepted.
• Greenhouse or nursery experience preferred.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Follows safety policies, procedures, and best practices in a safe work environment.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Growing team to ensure daily greenhouse operations and tasks are completed on schedule.
• Space and organize pots, trays, and plant materials to promote optimal growth.
• Move and position growing tables as directed.
• Operate electric carts safely and responsibly to support daily greenhouse activities.
• Assist with mixing and applying fertilizer according to guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas including sweeping and hosing floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
