Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking an Assistant Grower to oversee plant development in designated areas, ensuring optimal growing conditions under supervision. You will monitor irrigation, nutrition, and health, applying growth regulators as directed, and documenting all procedures.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, keeping work areas clean, and coordinating with growers to improve processes.

• Ability to accurately identify irrigation needs for various crops.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and crop hygiene practices are followed and enforced.
• Stay up to date on required trainings.
• Manage daily assignments and priorities from the grower to maintain plant health and quality.
• Learn and identify irrigation and nutritional needs; water and fertilize as needed.
• Apply pesticides and growth regulators as directed and per safety procedures.
• Assess plant health daily and report issues.
• Collaborate to identify ways to improve processes across areas such as logistics and placement.
• Care for and maintain the work area daily.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.
• Adhere to all training instructions and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
