Job summary

Texas A&M University in Dallas is seeking a Facilities Coordinator I to manage routine and preventative maintenance in greenhouse environments. This role includes maintaining equipment and assisting with specialized projects including irrigation and organic farming tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator’s License within 3-6 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 45 days of employment.
• Experience working in a greenhouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance on greenhouses.
• Learn basic and routine greenhouse controller functions.
• Monitor pest and disease, and maintain pesticide records.
• Assist with specialized projects related to irrigation and organic field management.
