Job summary

Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. is seeking a Construction Assistant in Grand Haven, MI for immediate hire. The role covers general construction duties in greenhouse facilities and in commercial/residential projects.

You will work as part of a team to complete projects on time and to company standards. Responsibilities include maintaining safe work environments, coordinating with leaders, reporting, and assisting with jobsite setup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a construction related industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic hand and power tool experience.
• Understanding of carpentry, plumbing, earthworks, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• OSHA 10-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work environments.
• Demonstrate adequate communication and proper reporting.
• Collaborate with construction teams to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure facilities and structures are operational and in good condition.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with jobsite setup and teardown.
