Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Supervisor (Assistant Manager – Shipping) in Grand Haven, MI to oversee logistics, warehousing, and transportation of the supply chain.

You will lead daily shipping activities and supervise the shipping team to meet efficiency and quality targets. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, at least two years of supervisory experience, and strong Excel/Word skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Spanish highly desirable but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Support the management of logistics, warehousing, transportation and customer services.
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.
• Supervise, coach and train shipping department workforce.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Comply with laws, regulations and OSHA requirements regarding MHE.
• Maintain company fleet vehicles.
• Assist in managing custodial services for the business.

We are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor(Assistant Manager – Shipping) to help support the planning and managing of logistics, warehousing, and transportation of the companies supply chain. This role is key to keeping operations running smoothly while coordinating daily shipping activities and leading a team. Overview:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or in Business Administration preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Spanish highly desired but not required
• Ability to work in both warehouse and greenhouse environments.
• Must possess the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move 30 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule during peak seasons to accommodate volume.

Performance Requirements:

• Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).
• This position is expected to average 45 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate business and operational needs, as well as periodic special projects.

Pay:starting at $45,000 per year, dependent upon experience. Amount is not inclusive of total compensation package.
