Job summary

Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager - Construction to join the Construction, Facilities, and Project Management team in Grand Haven, MI.

The role involves managing multiple projects, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality within budget. You will assist in planning, administration, and budget monitoring while supporting operations across departments to sustain nursery infrastructure and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential or commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English–Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with inspections, site visits, and design changes.
• Assist in the design process for each project.
• Coordinate with Construction Team and Subcontractors.
• Generate project estimates from take-offs of material quantities.
• Review quotations for cost and scope completeness.
• Update and distribute drawings and specifications to stakeholders.
• Oversee installation phases and ensure inspections are completed.
