Job summary

Hydrite is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its Laurens, SC greenfield facility. You will lead capital projects from design through start-up, partnering with corporate engineering, construction teams, and contractors to align scope, schedule, and cost.

After startup, you will transition to ongoing project engineering, driving improvements, reliability, and compliance while providing daily engineering support to operations and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equiv.).
• Eight+ years of Process-Engineering/Project Engineering in chemical processing.
• Five years of direct technical management experience with contractors.
• Experience with greenfield projects, major expansions, or plant startups.
• Strong computer skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel; AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects for Laurens greenfiled facility from design through start-up.
• Coordinate with corporate engineering, construction teams, and contractors on scope, schedule and cost.
• Develop site engineering standards, P&IDs, specs, procedures and documentation.
• Drive commissioning and start-up activities and validate performance.
• Provide ongoing engineering support for operations, maintenance, and safety improvements.
