Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Manufacturing Machining Project Leader to drive the design, build, commissioning and startup of a greenfield BAC facility. You will lead the machining workstream, coordinating equipment, processes, and site teams to ensure safe, compliant startup and sustained operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in machining, fabrication, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, or startup readiness activities within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience launching or commissioning machining and fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment; greenfield plant or major expansion experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal, coil processing, tooling, equipment controls, process capability, and production readiness.
• Experience leading equipment acceptance, installation, commissioning, validation, and startup activities, including FWT and SAT.
• Strong knowledge of standard work, visual management, problem solving, process control, and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to develop clear SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment and readiness for the machining workstream before production launch.
• Lead machining readiness from installation to startup and stabilization.
• Coordinate implementation of sheet metal, coil, and related machining.
• Plan FWT and SAT; document results and resolve open items.
• Develop machining standards, setups, tooling, and controls.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance and suppliers on risks.
• Establish quality controls and process verification for repeatability.
• Support commissioning, trials, validation, ramp-up, corrective actions.
• Create SOPs, work instructions, and certification docs.
• Train site leaders to operate and troubleshoot.
