Job summary

Solar One in New York seeks a Training Manager, Green Workforce to plan, develop and oversee workforce development instruction onsite at the Long Island City office and partner sites. You will lead a team of instructors, manage curriculum, schedule, safety, and budget, and collaborate with the Sr. Director on program strategy and growth.

Excellent communication and leadership required. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred; 3–5 years in program management in education or clean energy;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 3–5 years in program management in education or clean energy.
• 5 years in STEM, climate action, or environmental sustainability; classroom experience preferred.
• Experience with workforce development for underserved communities.
• Strong communication and collaboration with partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the Green Workforce programs.
• Plan and implement curriculum and programming onsite and at partner sites.
• Manage staff scheduling, budgets, and safety protocols.
• Track metrics and report on progress and outcomes.
• Develop partnerships with external Solar One partners.
