Job summary

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to support Green Rising across country offices, from concept through execution, scale, and adaptation of climate and environmental action initiatives.

You will help prepare fundraising proposals, donor reports, and external communications in collaboration with the GenU MarComms team, while advising on global strategy for Green Rising and related volunteer initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in volunteer and public engagement work.
• Experience developing strategies and tactics with multiple stakeholders across communities and in global contexts.
• Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops using human-centred design approaches, building capacity, and hosting internal communications.
• Ability to tailor engagement approaches to different issues, audiences, cultures, and political contexts.
• Knowledge of digital tools and trends in volunteering and public engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support UNICEF country offices from conceptualization through execution to launch, scale and/or adapt Green Rising offerings by facilitating strategy workshops and providing technical/strategy support.
• Prepare fundraising proposals and relevant donor reports for and around the Green Rising.
• Draft external communications and event proposals to showcase the Green Rising, in collaboration with GenU MarComms.
• Advise on and draft global strategy for and around the Green Rising.
