Job summary

The City of Eugene is seeking a Green Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead the Urban Forestry, Vegetated Stormwater Facilities, and Median Maintenance sections within Parks and Open Space.

You will supervise multiple unit managers, guide budgets and programs, and work with other city divisions to align operations with climate, equity, and resilience goals. The role emphasizes leadership, integration, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Five years of increasingly responsible operations management experience in stormwater, urban forestry, or landscape maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in natural resource management, urban forestry, horticulture, or related field.
• Must pass a background check and have a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates Urban Forestry, Stormwater Facilities and Median Maintenance sections of Parks and Open Space.
• Directly supervises and guides multiple work unit supervisors and manages budgets, plans, and programs.
• Develops vision and long/short-range goals; coordinates policies and practices for the section.
• Coordinates work with other city sections, departments, agencies, utilities, developers, and the public.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state/local regulations and integrates policies into operations.
