Job summary

The City of Atlanta, GA is seeking an entry-to junior-level Project Coordinator to support the Division of Environmental Planning with planning and execution of green infrastructure and stream restoration projects.

You will coordinate projects with technical leads, assist with community outreach, and help prepare watershed compliance data and grant applications, drawing on environmental science, ecology, engineering, and urban planning knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, ecology, urban planning or related field.
• Experience or coursework in water quality, stormwater management, or green infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate green infrastructure and stream restoration projects with technical leads.
• Identify opportunities to align watershed activities across Offices and Divisions.
• Identify and support grant opportunities and applications for watershed projects.
• Gather and update community outreach materials for project stakeholders.
• Prepare external communications with the Office of Communications & Community Relations.
• Assist with community outreach events, including some evenings or weekends.
• Apply environmental science, ecology, and engineering knowledge to support the department.
