Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance position to keep production lines running smoothly on the 1st shift in the United States. The role requires willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed and to operate and service production line machinery with safety as a priority.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience, be able to read/write, perform basic math, and learn Tyson SAP software to process work orders and daily documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding.
• Ability to read and write; basic math for machinery calculations.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted.
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
• General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
• You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
• Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
• Must be able to read and write where required.
• Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
• Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.
• Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.

Requirements

• Experience/history: a minimum of 1-year Industrial related maintenance experience (listed in the application) and/or technical certifications and working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
• Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.

Eligibility

• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
