Job summary

Weaver is seeking a Senior Associate or Supervisor to join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team in IT—focusing on SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations and IT control environments. The role requires leadership, initiative, and effective communication to manage multiple engagements, guiding Associates and Senior Associates.

The ideal candidate has 4–6+ years in public accounting, familiarity with SSAE/SOC/GAAP, and strong IT risk knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4-6+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Familiarity with SSAE standards, SOC guides, GAAP, and IIA standards.
• Understanding of SOC Reporting guidance and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and the role IT plays in compliance.
• Understanding of IT general controls, applications, system infrastructure, network layer, and security configurations.
• Experience supervising Associates and Senior Associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations and related engagements.
• Collaborate with team to meet engagement objectives and manage multiple assignments.
