Job summary

Weaver’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice seeks an IT Associate to support SOC 1/2 engagements and IT control testing. You will learn through hands-on client work, mentorship, and ongoing career development while handling smaller projects under supervision.

The role emphasizes understanding information systems, SDLC concepts, and IT general controls. Strong communication with client personnel and teammates is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, Accounting or related field.
• 0-2+ years of public accounting experience in SOC engagements.
• Ability to learn information systems and IT control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations under supervision.
• Test IT general controls, automated application controls and process controls.
• Communicate testing status and findings to supervisors daily.
• Prepare workpapers and document testing results clearly.
• Identify control deficiencies and assist remediation recommendations.
• Assist with SOC reports and client deliverables.
• Adhere to ethical requirements including independence and confidentiality.
