Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is seeking a Campus Security Officer to help protect staff, clients, and visitors across the CCSN main campus in Las Vegas. You’ll implement security procedures, monitor access, and coordinate with local responders to maintain a safe environment for CCSN's diverse programs.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, prior security experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of prior security, law enforcement or related work experience.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
• Flexible schedule to work after hours, holidays and weekends, as necessary.
• Ability to understand directives and carry them out to completion.
• A drug test and background check are required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for clients, visitors and staff.
• Read, understand, implement and enforce agency policies and procedures.
• Observe, report and document violations of policy, safety or security.
• Monitor and facilitate walking traffic flow and congestion on the campus.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Diffuse confrontational situations with calm communication.
