Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Paint Specific Right-to-Know Training and Weiler Forklift Operating Certificate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to read, write and comprehend documents.
  • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and various vision requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plans assembly procedures following specifications and manuals; may assemble subassemblies for attachment to final product.
  • Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts; inspect paint or finish for quality.
  • Aligns components, bolts and screws according to torque specifications.
  • Installs moving parts and tests the operation of the completed product.
  • Applies decals, logos, safety warnings, doors and guards; prepares product for shipping.
  • Tests or assists in testing the completed product.
