Job summary

Snowbird is seeking a Graveyard Bell/Valet to assist guests with luggage, shuttle guests, and manage vehicle parking during overnight hours. You will respond to guest needs, ensure luggage safety, and help maintain smooth operations at the lobby and bell desk.

Excellent guest service and a friendly demeanor are essential. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years of age, a valid driver license with a clean MVR, and 1–2 years in a related role.

• Valid Driver License with clean MVR.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Reliable, mature, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must handle rapid decisions and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Escort guests to rooms and assist with luggage, delivering within 15 minutes.
• Collect luggage from guestrooms within 8 minutes of departure for check-out.
• Provide valet service by parking and retrieving vehicles and directing traffic.
• Answer calls with a clear greeting and log service requests.
• Maintain a neat work area and assist with bell desk records.
• Be an ambassador for Snowbird and maintain high guest-service standards.
• Snow removal duties and occasional shuttle runs to Salt Lake Valley.

• Must be 21+ witha validdriver’s license anda cleandriving record.
• Specific Shifts:Must be available any day of the week, flexible schedule between 11 PM – 7 AM. Full-time 4 days aweek.

SUMMARY

As aNightBell/Valet under the direction of Bell Captainyou willassistguests with luggage and transportation needs,monitorbell storage, shuttle guests aroundresort in company vehicles, park and retrieve guests’ vehicles, answers guests’ questions, and directs traffic.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms andassistwith luggage. Ensure that luggage is safe and not left unattended. Ensure that luggage is placed in the cart properly and handled with care. Deliver luggage toguestrooms within 15 minutes ofguestarrival.
• Arrivetothe guestroom to collect luggage within 8 minutes of the guest’s call when the guest isdeparting. Understand and adhere to procedure of master key usage.
• Be visible and available in the lobby toassistguests whenrequired. Ensure guest name usage whenever possible. Maintain eye contact withguests.Assistin keeping the work area neat and clean. Provide valet service for guests by parking and retrieving vehicles and directing traffic.
• Answer the telephone within 4 rings with a clear and audiblegreeting andclose the conversation with a pleasant final remark. Keeparecordof calls for service (check-in, check-out, miscellaneous).Assistinaccuratemaintenance of bell desk log sheets.
• Consistentlydemonstratepersonal guest service excellence.Be an ambassador for the hotel when in contact with guests. Maintaina high levelof professionalism in all aspects of job performance.
• Snow Removal - Responsible for shoveling snow and salting walkways and parking areas.Assistingwith lotclearingsas necessary.
• Shuttle Runs
• Travel: Occasional trips to Salt Lake Valley.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.
• 1-2 yearsof job-specific work experience withdemonstratedcompetence.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver License w/ Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Able to read, write, and communicate through speech. Able to use arithmetic with accuracy in counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Must be reliable,matureand able to work with minimal supervision.
• Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
• Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.
• Requiresa strongunderstanding of other Snowbird operations.
• Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner andmaintaingood working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Specific Shifts:Must be available any day of the week, flexible schedule between 11 PM – 7 AM. Full-time 4 days aweek.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mustbe prepared to stayovernight,ifnecessary,duringoccasional times of road closures.
• May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
• Mustbe able to lift 75 lbs.
• Mustbe able to stand forlong periodsof time.
• Mustdemonstratetheabilityto bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
• Mustpossessthe ability to work fast and efficiently under pressure.
• Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
• Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
• May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high-occupancy periods.
• Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.
• Must have the ability to work in a flexible and high-volume environment.
• Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.
