Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking an experienced Supervisor for our Greenfield, Missouri location to oversee seed processing operations, ensure safety, and meet tight production deadlines.

The ideal candidate will lead frontline staff, maintain quality standards, perform routine equipment checks, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, with a strong commitment to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership to direct shift staff and meet production goals
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety standards
• Forklift certification and ability to operate skid loader
• Must be able to train staff and ensure quality workmanship
• Must possess basic math skills for line checks and record keeping

Responsibilities

• Assess seed quality and adjust machinery for optimal output.
• Run tests on cleaned seed to verify machine settings.
• Direct the workflow of employees to ensure correct product and quality.
• Repair or report machine problems immediately to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with coating operators to maintain powder coated seed quality.
• Maintain a safe work environment and direct staff to work safely and efficiently.
• Train staff to perform shift tasks effectively and safely.
