Job summary

Hanes Supply, Inc. is seeking a Graphics Designer to develop visual concepts for print and digital marketing, including catalogs, flyers, ads, logos, and web layouts. You will ensure brand consistency and deliver compelling design solutions across channels.

The role requires 1–2 years of graphics design experience and a Bachelor's in Graphic Design or related field. Magento/Hubspot experience is a plus, and a professional office environment is provided in Buffalo, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related subject or equivalent work experience is required.
• One to two years’ experience working in graphics design or other creative development is required.
• Magento and Hubspot experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observes safety procedures and follows instructions.
• Develop concepts/layouts for catalogs, flyers, ads, logos, and web collateral.
• Prepare projects from conception to completion reflecting company objectives.
• Prepare illustrations or rough sketches for supervisor review and implement changes.
• Apply brand standards across all marketing materials.
• Translate ideas and business requirements into engaging design solutions.
• Perform photo manipulation: resize, crop, color correct, and edit images as needed.
• Maintain archive of images and past projects on group server.
• Review layouts and suggest improvements for accuracy and impact.
• Handle workload efficiently to meet deadlines.

Position Summary

Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts and creating visual concepts, using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. Assists the marketing department with various design and media needs including print media such as flyers and catalogs and digital layouts for the web.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties
• Develop concepts/layouts for sales and marketing tools, including: catalogs, flyers, ads, logos, P.O.P., social media graphics, web pages, email blasts and any other additional collateral
• Prepares projects from conception to completion ensuring project reflects company or department objectives
• Prepares illustrations or rough sketches of material to discuss with supervisor and makes necessary changes.
• Applies brand standards across all marketing materials
• Translate ideas and business requirements into engaging design solutions
• Photo manipulation of images (resize, crop, add/remove objects, and color correct as needed)
• Maintain archive of images, photos and previous projects on group server
• Reviews final layouts and suggests improvements as needed
• Efficiently handle workload and ensure all deadlines are met
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite including lnDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
• Preferred Skills: UI/UX Design (Adobe XD), drawing/ illustration skills, video editing, photography, social media/ blogging/ copywriting skills
• Marketing Communications experience in graphic design, marketing, or public relations is desired
• Knowledge of making print ready designs and working with print vendors is required
• Video editing (Adobe Premiere) capabilities are desired
• Working knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS
• Must be creative and have a strong sense of layout/composition, typography, and aesthetic coherence throughout all company branding
• Must be a self-starter; possess strong verbal and written communications skills
• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, managing time efficiently, and able work with little supervision
• Must be organized, reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow up on tasks
• Ability to work well with a team, take initiative, criticism and direction
• Willingness to learn things which are outside of your knowledge base
• Be a strong team player; assist Marketing Department in day to day needs
