Position Overview

As our Design Lead, you'll own the entire visual and user experience of our company. You'll create intuitive, accessible interfaces that empower patients to access and control their complete healthcare data across multiple care providers. Working directly with our founding team, you'll shape our product design strategy, build our visual identity, and ensure exceptional user experiences across all touchpoints—from our core application to marketing materials and social media presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance, intuitive interfaces for our patient and provider applications
• Develop and maintain the complete design system, including visual elements, interaction patterns, and UI components
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that translate complex healthcare data into accessible visualizations
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and healthcare compliance requirements
• Own and evolve our brand identity across all customer touchpoints
• Design and produce all marketing materials, including website, presentations, email templates, digital and print assets
• Develop visual content for social media campaigns and digital marketing initiatives
• Collaborate closely with engineering team to ensure seamless implementation of designs
• Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously improve the product experience

Requirements & Skills

• 5+ years of professional design experience, with strong focus on digital product design across desktop and mobile
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX design skills for healthcare or data-intensive applications
• Experience designing interfaces that present complex information in accessible ways
• Proficiency in modern design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms
• Understanding of design systems and component-based design methodologies
• Experience with healthcare terminology, workflows, and industry regulations (HIPAA)
• Strong visual communication skills across multiple mediums (digital, print, social)
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple design priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with non-designers and articulate design decisions
• Experience with basic front-end implementation (HTML/CSS) is a significant plus
