Coastal Carolina University is seeking a student for a graphic design support role within the University Marketing and Communication team. You will assist with digital and print materials that align with university brand and campaign guidelines, including social media graphics, event flyers, posters, and other projects.

Applicants should be currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s program and proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at Coastal Carolina University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, or related field.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Familiarity with Canva.
• Understanding of basic design principles (typography, color, composition).
• A portfolio showcasing design samples (academic or personal work).

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at Coastal Carolina University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, or related field.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Familiarity with Canva.
• Understanding of basic design principles (typography, color, composition).
• A portfolio showcasing design samples (academic or personal work).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with design projects (classwork or volunteer work is acceptable).
• Strong work ethic, creativity, and willingness to learn.
• Experience in motion graphics, web design, social media graphics, and/or photography is a plus.

Licensure and/or Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Basic understanding of Canva.
• Ability to take direction and apply feedback to projects to improve design work.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management skills to balance multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
