Job Title: Graphic Designer
Location: 100% Remote (Strong preference for PST, then CST; EST will be considered)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, likely PST hours
Contract Duration: 6 months (Possible extension up to 18 months)
Purpose of the Role
- This role supports the organization of hardware infrastructure systems.
- The team’s purpose is to get assets built for the brand.
- The selected Graphic Designer will contribute to brand guide development for a cloud supply chain.
- This includes creating a cohesive branding strategy across various talent programs and leadership development programs, as well as internal and external branding efforts.
Typical Day in the Role
- 20% Meetings
- 30% Collaboration with the team
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems
- Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces
- Prepare sketches or layouts to present to client
- Create charts and graphs from data given
- Collaborate with team members to understand different programs and deliverables
- Execute creative ideas and bring concepts to life
- Perform minor copywriting tasks (e.g., slogans, team names, taglines)
Candidate Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 6-8+ overall years of experience in the field
- Degrees or Certifications: Associate’s degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required; Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred
- Best vs. Average: An ideal candidate will show a sense of urgency, attention to detail, ability to collaborate effectively, motivation to execute vision, and deliver quality work on time
- Performance Indicators: Quality of work, meeting deadlines, responsiveness to feedback
Top 3 Hard Skills Required (with 5+ years each)
- Graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Designer)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Hard Skills Assessment
- Expected Assessment Dates: Week of the 18th
- Assessment Format: Panel style with the sponsor and 2-4 others
- Candidate Preparation Required:
- Portfolio or work samples must be submitted with a resume
- Include examples such as: websites, logos, visual assets, and creative projects
- Show ability to create both professional and personal/internal brand assets
- Acceptable formats: links to portfolios, blogs, videos, or other showcases
Job Qualifications
- 8–10 years experience required
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to utilize print, electronic, and film media
- Visualization skills in 2D and 3D with aesthetic understanding
- Experience using computers to create layouts and generate new images
- Strong experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software
