Job summary

Cleveland State University is seeking a Graphic Designer to produce a full range of graphic design, art direction and production work. The role supports CSU’s strategic communications and marketing, enhancing the University's image for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities include creative direction for print and electronic media, collaboration with department account teams, and professional interaction with clients and stakeholders. A strong portfolio is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of specialized training and professional experience in graphic arts design.
• Three to five (current) years experience in graphic arts and design.
• Demonstrated creativity and ability in graphic design using related computer technologies (portfolio required).
• Previous experience coordinating and leading complex graphic design projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with web design concepts and use of web as a marketing tool.

Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree or post-graduate education. Previous experience in graphic design in a university or college environment.
