Job summary

The Maryland Department of Health - Behavioral Health Administration seeks an Agency Grants Specialist Supervisor to oversee financial transactions for federal/state grant awards and supervise the Grants Specialists. This role coordinates fund awards to Local Health Departments and Core Service Agencies, and monitors pre/post-award activities in line with COA budgets.

Applicants should have substantial experience in grant evaluation, monitoring, and budget management, plus supervisory and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of grant evaluation and monitoring or budget experience may substitute the required experience.
• Graduate education in relevant fields can substitute five years of experience at 30 credit hours.
• US Armed Forces Budget Officer or Financial Management experience may substitute year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and financial management of grant award funds with program staff.
• Daily supervision of Grants Specialists and support staff.
• Coordinate and process awarding of funds to LHDs and CSAs.
• Monitor pre- and post-award activities and COAs relative to budgets.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting to internal/external units.
