Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of grant writing and management experience.
• Proficiency with computer and development software (Raiser’s Edge NXT) preferred.
• Experience working in the nonprofit sector required, higher education experience preferred.
• A career history of commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Grants Management and Proposal Development (75%).
• Conduct research and interpret funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and government programs.
• Ensure alignment with fund development priorities and compliance requirements.
• Manage grant consultant partnerships and deliverables.
• Collaborate with partners to develop grant content and proposals.
• Review, edit and submit proposals, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Oversee submission of all proposals and reports in a timely manner.
• Use Raiser's Edge to document and manage requests, proposals, and awards.
• Maintain a calendar of recurring grant proposals and reports.
• Develop a multi-year planning calendar and train faculty/staff in grants participation.
• Support Major Gifts team in donor relations and relationship building.
• Provide reporting on grants to Advancement and University leadership.
