Job summary

DeKalb County Government seeks an experienced administrator to lead grants management within Juvenile Court and Human Services, supervising staff and coordinating grant cycles and program funding.

The role oversees budget development, compliance, and performance measurement with KPI tools such as Betterworks, while ensuring timely reporting and effective collaboration with sub-recipients and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Community Development, Accounting or closely related field required.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in program administration and/or evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff; develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Plans and administers the department’s Human Services grant cycle and RFP processes.
• Monitors programs for compliance, tracks expenditures, and evaluates program design against rules.
• Acts as liaison between department and partner agencies and sub-recipients; coordinates training and reviews documentation.
• Develops and monitors budgets and prepares financial reports; tracks KPIs and outcomes using Betterworks.
