United Way of the Midlands in Omaha, NE seeks a Grants Coordinator to support prospect development and proposal writing. This on-site, part-time role emphasizes research, narrative development, and collaboration with Finance, Analytics, and Programming teams.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
• Ability to synthesize information into clear, mission-aligned content.
• Attention to detail with cross-document consistency.
• Ability to collaborate with program, finance, and leadership staff.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and research new grant opportunities that align with UWM's mission and impact areas.
• Develop and submit at least three new grant proposals per month, coordinating narratives, budgets, and documentation.
• Draft grant reports and funder communications, including backgrounders and briefing materials.
• Maintain grant prospecting pipeline and tracking systems for accuracy and follow-up.
• Prepare grant kickoff meetings for newly awarded grants and ensure grant requirements are met.
