Job summary

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska seeks a Grants Project Manager to research funding opportunities, draft proposals, and coordinate post-award programmatic reporting for Tribal Affairs and Ponca Health Services. The role requires extensive knowledge of federal pre/post-award grants administration and collaboration across tribal leadership.

You will support budgets, compliance, and reporting, with training provided for tribal development needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in grants management, business, public administration, accounting, budgeting or related field.
• Three years of experience managing federal, state, and tribal grants with pre/post-award focus.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Assistance Regulations (OMB Circulars, A-102/A-87, A-122, etc.).
• Advanced experience with grant database management platforms.
• Experience supporting complex systems implementation and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Research federal, state, tribal, and private grant programs aligned with tribal priorities.
• Prepare, write, and submit competitive grant applications with budgets, narratives, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate across tribal departments to align proposals with needs and timelines.
• Oversee post-award budgeting and cost tracking in grants systems.
• Schedule post-award kickoff and progress meetings with staff and leadership.
• Monitor project progress, provide updates, and ensure timely reports to leadership.
