Job summary

The Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation seeks a Program Officer to strengthen federally funded grant programs. You will work with grantees to improve performance, ensure compliance, and translate requirements into strong practices. You will coach, monitor, and provide strategic support throughout the grant lifecycle.

This role emphasizes collaboration, data-informed decision making, and community outreach to broaden impact across Maryland and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.
• Substitution options: college credits or degrees may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and trusted partner for assigned grantees.
• Provide ongoing coaching, technical assistance, and problem-solving support.
• Monitor grants for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations for leadership.
• Collaborate with agency staff on grant administration and renewal.
