Job summary

MetroWest is seeking a Program Officer, Nonprofit Effectiveness to help develop and sustain relationships with community stakeholders, program partners and nonprofit organizations. You will oversee program strategy, deliverables, and grant-related activities for multiple Foundation programs, including capacity building opportunities.

The role supports the Senior Program Officer in grants programs and town funds, with emphasis on data-driven program impact and effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years nonprofit sector experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Tech-savvy with online grants management and event systems.
• Ability to gather, analyze and produce key program reports and data.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple activities.
• Grant making or philanthropy experience a plus.
• Keen conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Excellent time and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workshops, convenings and cohort-based learning for nonprofit professionals and board members.
• Identify and engage content experts for programming.
• Develop and adjust programming to meet the strategic plan; measure outcomes.
• Build and maintain industry relationships to stay informed on community issues.
• Support grant programs and Town Funds; act as main point of contact.
• Ensure timely grants management processes and reporting.
