Job summary

Park Slope Jewish Center in New York City seeks an experienced Grants Officer focused on Safety Net initiatives to join a newly created grantmaking team reporting to the Executive Vice President of Grants.

The role emphasizes disability, aging, and food insecurity within the Jewish community in the United States, building relationships with nonprofits, evaluating proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant terms. Hybrid work three days in the office.

Qualifications

• At least five years of full-time professional experience.
• Knowledge of disability, aging, and/or food insecurity sectors in the United States.
• Ability to assess organizations, programs, and philanthropic investment opportunities using strong analytical skills.
• Experience in grant development and due diligence processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor trends and emerging needs in disability, aging, and food insecurity.
• Identify philanthropic investment opportunities aligned with Foundation priorities.
• Analyze community needs and service gaps; assess models for reach and access.
• Evaluate organizations, programs, and funding opportunities against priorities.
• Build relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders.
• Review proposals and participate in due diligence processes.
• Monitor grantee compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for the Board.
