Michael Aaron Staffing, LLC is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit healthcare policy organization in Princeton, NJ area to hire a Grants & Contracts Officer. The role offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule with one day in the office and four remote days, supporting the full lifecycle of grants, contracts, and subcontracts.

Ideal candidates bring strong grants and contracts management experience, nonprofit contracting exposure, and familiarity with FAR.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of grants and contracts management experience.
  • Nonprofit contracting and compliance background preferred.
  • Experience reviewing contracts for accuracy, compliance, terms and risk.
  • FAR knowledge is a plus.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent paralegal experience preferred.
  • NCMA CPCM or CFCM certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with grant/contract management systems such as Salesforce desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation and submission of grant and contract proposals and required compliance documentation.
  • Manage outgoing grants and subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Draft and generate subcontract agreements, grants, and amendment letters.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of grant and contract documents to identify discrepancies, risks, and compliance concerns.
  • Support review of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Maintain contract documentation, approvals, organizational records, and compliance information.
  • Monitor confidentiality, NDA, and publicity requirements.
  • Assist with contract closeouts and review of expired agreements.
  • Maintain state registrations, certificates of insurance, and related compliance documentation.
  • Partner with Finance and program teams to support funder invoicing and financial reporting.

Michael Aaron Staffing is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit healthcare policy organization seeking a Grants & Contracts Officer to join its Finance team. The position offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule with just one day per week in the office and four days remote.

The Grants & Contracts Officer will support the administration and full lifecycle of grants, contracts, and subcontracts while helping ensure compliance with funder and organizational requirements.


The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in grants and contracts management, preferably within a nonprofit environment, along with experience reviewing agreements and identifying contractual or compliance risks. Paralegal experience is highly valued for this position.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For


  • 3–5 years of grants and contracts management experience

  • Nonprofit experience strongly preferred

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing contracts for accuracy, compliance, terms, conditions, and performance risk

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and funders

  • Grant and contract compliance experience preferred

  • FAR knowledge is a plus

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent paralegal experience is preferred

  • NCMA certification such as CPCM or CFCM is a plus

  • Salesforce or other grant/contract management system experience is desirable
