Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Grants Manager to join the Development & Communications team in Brooklyn. You will manage a portfolio of public and private funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and coordinate across programs to develop persuasive narratives showing need and impact.

You will research funding prospects, collaborate with fiscal, program, and leadership teams, and ensure timely submissions while maintaining strong funder relationships and accurate grant records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3–5 years of grant-writing experience.
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize multiple sources into a clear voice and story.
• Strong research, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with senior leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Build compelling proposals and manage a portfolio of funding opportunities from start to finish.
• Research government, foundation and other funding prospects aligned with CAMBA's programs.
• Translate program data and outcomes into clear, persuasive narratives.
• Collaborate across CAMBA with program leaders, fiscal staff and leadership to develop competitive proposals.
• Own deadlines and submission requirements across the portfolio.
• Develop budgets and financial reporting in collaboration with fiscal and program teams.
• Maintain funder relationships with timely and accurate communications.
• Maintain grant records and compliance information in CAMBA grants systems.
