Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Grants Manager to join the Development & Communications team in Brooklyn, NY. This role manages a portfolio of public and private funding opportunities, develops compelling proposals, and coordinates cross-functional input to ensure timely submissions.

You will work with program leaders, fiscal staff, and leadership to craft narratives that demonstrate impact, outcomes, and strategic fit for CAMBA’s priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years grant-writing or related fundraising experience.
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information into a clear voice and story.
• Strong research, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Comfort working with colleagues at all levels, including senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Build compelling proposals and manage a portfolio of funding opportunities.
• Research government, foundation and other funding prospects.
• Turn program data into clear, persuasive narratives showing need and impact.
• Collaborate with CAMBA program staff, fiscal, and leadership to develop proposals.
• Manage deadlines and submission requirements across the portfolio.
• Assist with proposal budgets and financial reporting with fiscal teams.
