Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks an experienced Manager, Grants to oversee budgetary and administrative aspects of funded research programs. You will work with investigators and admins to safeguard fiscal health and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, preparing reports, and ensuring proper revenue and expense capture for grants, clinical trials, and related projects. Supervisory duties and cross‑functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA in related areas preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in grants management or closely relevant field, with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in health care or higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors monthly budgets and ledgers for grants and funded programs with variance analysis.
  • Ensures grants and clinical trials are properly monitored and revenue/expenses captured.
  • Prepares purchase orders, invoices, contracts, vouchers, and fund transfers as needed.
  • Analyzes revenue cycles and develops feasibility/business plans for new programs.
  • Prepares regular and ad hoc reports and collaborates with leadership.
  • Recommends efficiency improvements and documents procedures.
  • Potentially mentors junior staff and performs related duties.
